ILM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership (Lean Leadership)

Our team has been working in partnership for many years with Ross International, a team of Edinburgh based Resultants. They specialise in facilitating transformational change through the application of Lean thinking within organisations. They have demonstrated that, even in these hard times, it is possible to fully involve staff and have them apply Lean principles to overcome serious business challenges and generate rapid, sustainable results with significant return on investment.

Ross International first of all ensure that top level management commitment to Lean is in place as this is vital in the creation of an environment where people want to get involved and make things happen. Ross International provides training in Lean and in improvement methodologies to allow staff the opportunity to design and implement changes that will rapidly make things better for all stakeholders.

Courses
In response to market demand, we and Ross International have jointly developed a suite of high level courses for managers and consultants who are responsible for leading organisational improvements and maximising efficiencies within organisations. In other words, doing more, with less.

The ILM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership (Lean Leadership) is delivered through a combination of executive coaching and work based learning. It focuses on five themes:-

  • Leadership in practice
  • Developing a Lean culture
  • Delivering Lean projects
  • Continuous improvement - getting to excellence
  • Profiting from Lean

Lean Leadership Delivered over 9-12 months, this programme gives students the opportunity to achieve high levels of impact for themselves and their organisation, by applying their learning to the workplace and evaluating the results. Achievement of this qualification can also provide advanced entry to the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Leading Rapid Improvement awarded by Edinburgh Napier University.

We have also jointly developed a unique process that allows key personnel to train to become facilitators of Kaizen Blitz/Rapid Improvement Events, in the process achieving the ILM Certificate in Leading Rapid Improvement. Again, this can provide advanced entry to the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Leading Rapid Improvement.

Lean Leadership Completion of both the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership (Lean Leadership) and the ILM Certificate in Leading Rapid Improvement can allow direct entry to the MSc in Leading Rapid Improvement at Edinburgh Napier University.
