The ILM Level 7 qualifications for Coaching Supervisors are amongst ILM's most senior qualifications. They provide appropriately qualified coaches and mentors with the opportunity to develop as leading practitioners in their field. They will help you to gain a detailed understanding of the coaching supervision contract, the knowledge and skills required to deliver results with individual clients and the opportunity to put these into practice whilst receiving supervision yourself. They are delivered through a blend of learning that is tailored to the needs of each student. They are demanding programmes but the rewards can be very high.
The programmes are centred on delivering coaching supervision in your own situation. You design your own coaching supervision programme that will have real impact with your clients, whether within an organisation or in a freelance capacity. You will then use reflective practice to develop and improve your individual performance as coaching supervisor. The programmes offer personal supervision sessions, a library of resources, individually defined CPD, online learning, reflective practice and practically focused assignments. You will develop your own coaching supervision performance supported by your own supervisor, focusing on achieving high levels of impact for your clients.
These ILM Level 7 coaching supervision qualifications are prestigious awards in their own right and are arguably the zenith of programmes in the field of coaching. They also provide you with up to 40 credits at Level 7. These credits, which are at postgraduate level, can be used as a stepping stone into Masters level qualifications. The Academy of Leadership & Management has developed strong links with a number of universities and can facilitate advanced entry to Masters level qualifications, providing exemption from the entry requirements of the universities.

You will learn how to review and build the context, strategy, culture and processes for effective coaching supervision. You will understand and analyse different coaching supervision models and their impacts. You will also learn to evaluate the effectiveness of coaching supervision in an organisation, while critically reviewing your own skills, emotional intelligence and values, to assess your competence as a coaching supervisor. You will also have an opportunity to plan, deliver and review coaching supervision contracts with your clients.
You will develop a deep appreciation of how you supervise and coach, enhance your presence as a practitioner and, as a result, you will clarify your insights into the effectiveness of your practice and how you can develop. Importantly, you will learn how to encourage that from your clients as well, supporting growth and development within their organisations.
