This qualification in Inclusive Practice Early Years has been designed for early years practitioners who want to be better able to support children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability).
The Academy of Leadership & Management has jointly developed this inclusive practice in early years course with Dingley’s Promise, whose mission is to to deliver life changing support to children under-5 with additional needs & disabilities and their families, by:
The objective of this course is to help early years practitioners to be as inclusive as they can, and make sure that as many children as possible can experience mainstream education in the early years.
The courses is split into four modules, each with a blend of workshop sessions (2 per module), on-line learning and practical activities that can be carried out in the workplace. Students submit an assignment (Learning Journal) at the end of each module, from which they receive regular feedback, and these also form the basis of their assessment. In addition, students have ongoing support through a peer forum that they can continue to use when the course has finished.
